Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy offers interactive talk therapy combined with expressive arts such as guided imagery, collage, drawing, movement and breath work. This work can provide relief from difficult life transitions in a short period of time. It can also provide an opportunity to reflect on complex experiences from the past that contribute to current unwanted behavior patterns negatively affecting your life.

Support Groups

Support groups consist of six or eight people meeting weekly to share their experiences, strength and hope surrounding a particular issue. Participating in a support group can be a valuable way to receive help for difficult times in our lives. It is also an opportunity to meet other people struggling with similar issues. I’m currently offering participation in the following group:

Taking Care of Ourselves for Good

This support group focuses on how and why to stop challenging behaviors of over-spending, over-committing, over-accommodating, over-eating and over-use of substances like alcohol, drugs or prescription medication. Attending this weekly self-care group will help you get to the root and truth about why we overuse.

Workshops

I offer The Artist Way workshops periodically throughout the year. This is an eight or twelve-week group process using Julia Cameron’s book The Artist Way and expressive arts to unblock creative energy. This process uses the deep insights and wisdom of the book and participates in thought provoking exercises aimed at releasing stuck emotional energy that holds us back from accessing our creative self.
